The best way to improve your love life is to improve your communication skills. Often we want or expect a certain response from our men. Sometimes we also fixate on things men don’t think about nearly as much as we think they think about: our clothing, our hair, the shade of our nail polish. Picking a fight with our men because they fail to notice something we really want them to notice is common enough to be stereotypical.
By the time we get to a long standing relationship or marriage these little blow ups are usually not that big a deal to our men—annoying, but not deal breakers. Yet early in our relationships they can be a disaster! Men don’t want to fight with you when they can be enjoying themselves with you—and why would you want that drama anyway? Focus on having fun during the early stages of dating life—not hyperactively looking for signs that he doesn’t think you’re pretty or he doesn’t care.
Remember—confidence is the sexiest thing we can give, and nothing says under confidence like a big fat freak out about the hair! The first step in deciphering manspeak and having better relationships is learning to lighten up a little.
